Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner What time did I have breakfast and dinner on this day? What do we need to know in order to work this out? Time

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner We need to know the time of sunrise and sunset. Time

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner We need to know the time of sunrise and sunset. This will tell us the duration of the time line of this date. Time

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner Okay – with some astronomy software we know that: Sunrise: 06:38am Time

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner Okay – with some astronomy software we know that: Sunrise: 06:38am Sunset:17:57pm Time

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner Duration =11 hrs 19 min Time 06:38am 17:57pm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner Duration = 679 min Time Let us now measure the length of the timeline: 06:38am 17:57pm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner Time Let us now measure the length of the timeline: Timeline length = 137mm 06:38am 17:57pm 679 min

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner 679 min (137mm) Time Let us now measure the length of the timeline: Timeline length = 137mm 1mm = 4min 57 secs (679mins / 137mm) 06:38am 17:57pm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner 679 min Time Sunrise to Breakfast line = 19mm 06:38am 17:57pm 19mm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner 679 min Time Sunrise to Breakfast line = 19mm 19 x 4min 57 secs = 1hr 34min 3secs 19mm = 1hr 34mins 3 secs 06:38am 17:57pm 19mm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner 679 min Time 06:38am + 1hr 34min 3secs = 08:12 Breakfast Time = 08:12am 06:38am 17:57pm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner 679 min Time 06:38am 17:57pm Sunset to Dinner Line = 11mm 11 x 4min 57 secs = 54min 15secs 11mm = 54mins 15secs 11mm

Sunrise Sunset Glasgow, Scotland, 7 th March 2009 BreakfastDinner 679 min Time 06:38am 17:57pm 11mm 17:57am - 54min 15secs = 17:02:45 Dinner Time = 17:02pm

At Giza the Beginning and End of the Timeline is defined by the 2 culminations of Orion’s Belt – these are analogous to our sunrise and sunset but since they use precessional motion rather than solar motion, they allow us to present a much longer timeline i.e. 12,960 years.

N G3 Queens Aligned to min culmination of Orion’s Belt c.10,460 BCE G1 Queens Aligned to max culmination of Orion’s Belt c.2,500 CE

N Mid 12,960 years (half-prcession cycle)

Okay – so now a small exercise – Tell me this date :

N Mid What date is this?
