Wolf Pride Band Mission – A co-curricular performing group that ALL band students at Grandview can aspire to create outstanding music, develop student leadership, and represent the school and community with great pride and enthusiasm.

Goals Establish a tradition of excellence in music making and Pride in membership of the group Successful, superior level musical performances Increase participation of upperclassmen Provide a vehicle for students to develop as leaders Increase student ownership of the band program as a whole

ACTIVITIES FOR 2014 Drum Line Auditions – this week Student Leadership Auditions – completed Mini Camp June 3, 12-3PM, June 4, 8-12PM, 12-2 – Party! Band Camp – August 4 -Student Leaders and new students only Band Camp – August 5-8 – all members – 8AM-4PM Parent Demo – August 8 – 5PM Littleton Western Welcome Week Parade – Saturday, August 16 Colorado State Fair Parade Trip - Aug Football Game Friday, August 29 Arvada Harvest Days Parade – Saturday, September 6 Spirit Bus – Wednesday, September 17 Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally – Thursday, September 18 Homecoming Football Game – Friday, September 19 Football Game Friday, September 26 Grand Junction Parade Trip October 3-4 Band Concert – Tuesday, October 14 Football Game – Thursday, October 16 Southlands Holiday Parade – Saturday, November 22

Schedule ATTENDANCE IS CRITICAL TO SUCCESS!!! Band Camp August 4-8 8AM-4PM Rehearse 3-5PM August Full Band Rehearsals Tuesdays 3-5:00PM Parades on 5 Saturdays 4 Home football games at Legacy Stadium

COMMITTMENT Wolf Pride Band Students will: Make a strong commitment to the success and superior performance standard of the Wolf Pride Band Participate in the August day camp at GHS August (4th ) 5th-8th Attend all rehearsals and performances Maintain their grades in accordance with eligibility rules

Percussion Students will audition for Drum Line Students will be placed on a drum for the entire season Students will work with a percussion instructor throughout the fall season

Uniforms Warm up like uniform –Will be in school colors –Students will own uniform Hat Shoes Used for multiple years Will create uniform exchange

Staff Mr. Keith Farmer – director Mr. Royce Ehrle – assistant director Mr. Jeremy Sandoval – percussion Wind player instructors for camp only

Costs Band Camp Fee - $50 Uniform Cost approx. $140 –Warm up suit –Shoes –Hat –T-shirt State Fair and Grand Junction Overnight Trips $299 –Includes transportation, lodging, breakfast, dinner, and hot springs in Glenwood for G.J. trip.

Lettering Requirements Students will continue to earn points toward their letter in band with participation in Wolf Pride Band Unexcused absences will result in a reduction of lettering points

Needs Parent Volunteers – need a coordinator –Help with parades –water crew –uniform help –moving equipment for parades and games

Fundraising Patrons run all fundraising opportunities Students may use their performing arts account for Wolf Pride costs King Soopers Cards Shop with Scrip All information is on garts.org garts.org
