Proper noun: These nouns refers to specific or particular persons, places, or things. They begin with capital letter. Examples: Pope John Paul II, Maria, The Predator(movie), Master showman ( T.V. program) Pope John Paul II is the very popular pope this year. Maria is my best friend. We watched The Predator last week in cinema. Master Showman is a very entertaining show in GMA

Abstract noun Names of ideas, feelings, qualities and emotions. They refer to matters that don’t exist in the physical world, but known through the effects they create. Examples: love, intelligence, patience Love is everyone’s need. Intelligence is one of our criteria in judging the competition. Patience is a virtue.

Concrete noun These are nouns that appeal to one’s sense; they refer to object that exist in the physical world. Example: building, dogs, chairs This building is huge. The dogs are barking. I love this chairs very much.

Mass noun These refer to things that cannot be counted. Those nouns do not have plural equivalents. They can be quantified, nevertheless, by the use of counters or unit of measure which can be pluralized.
