Language of the Moment

Why we do Language of the Moment: To give parents an opportunity to be actively involved in their children’s learning and the life of the school, To show respect for other languages and cultures, To broaden the horizons of our children.

A range of different languages are spoken at Brinkley.

We like to learn about these languages and where they come from.

At the moment we are learning...

Spanish

Spanish is the official language in the following countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela. There are 425,000,000 Spanish speakers in the world. It is the fourth most widely spoken language.

The Cathedral of Barcelona The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia (CATALAN: Catedral de la Santa Creu i Santa Eulàlia, Spanish: Catedral de la Santa Cruz y Santa Eulalia), also known as Barcelona Cathedral, is the Gothic cathedral and seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona. The cathedral was constructed from the 13th to 15th centuries, with the principal work done in the 14th century.
