Symmetry A figure has line symmetry if it can be folded in half so that two parts match exactly. The fold line is the line of symmetry.
Rotations, reflections, and translations are called:
Figures that are the same shape, but not necessarily the same size.
A rotation turns a figure around a point.
Reflections A reflection flips a figure over a line.
Translation A translation slides a figure in a straight line.
