Newsletter March - April 2009 Daniel Huisman Mobiel Indonesia Mobile NL Dear Friends, Greetings from the jungle of Borneo Indonesia.

From the 5th of February – 24th of May I am in Indonesia. All are happy with my help here, and there is a lot to do. Here I am helping in the technical department in the mission hospital on the island of Borneo. I will be back in Holland to be able to attend the Opwekking conference at Pentecost. And the 9th of June I am invited to go to France where I was last summer too, they are looking forward to have me help out in the technical work this summer.

For 10 days I have been in a small clinic, there they needed my help for a special eye surgery program to operate 77 people on their eyes to remove cataracts. 5 of these people were operated on 2 eyes; they were blind and can see again. Below you can see the patients in the special tent outside the clinic, and the American director of the clinic; Dr. Kinari in the middle.

A picture of all the workers and doctors who have helped with the cataract program for 3 days. My job was to remodel some rooms and make sure there was enough electricity and lights and keep equipment running.

On the picture to the right; back in the main hospital, also the dentist needs my help sometimes to help keep things working. The compressor for air pressure, the compressor for vacuum, good lights, and the chair which needs to be able to go up and down.

Do you like to contribute to my help to Indonesia? I am now working on the steam supply and return for the sterilization department and washing machines. Also in the ICU there are things to be finished and there are many little things to be done. I still need some good tools to be able to do my work well; Rechargeable-Drill, Drill bits of different kinds and sizes, Wrench set, Ampere Multi-meter. It is a great help to the hospital. The exchange rate is now very favorable compared to the Euro and the prices are still the same. Send your contribution marked; Tools
