 Remember:  IN (dentro). There are five apples in the bowl.  ON (sobre). There is a cat on the counter.  UNDER (debajo). There is a book under the coffee table.  BEHIND (detrás). There are two bags of flour behind the egg box.

 When we refer to one object, we use there is. For example:  There is a bedroom in my house.  There is an eggbox on the counter.  There isn’t an eggbox on the counter.  When we refer to two or more objects, we use there are. For example:  There are ten oranges in the bowl.  There aren’t any oranges in the bowl.

 To add elements or ideas in a sentence, we use and. For example: There are two living rooms and two halls. (elements) In the second floor, there is a big bathroom and there are two bedrooms. (ideas)  To contrast two ideas in a sentence, we use but. For example: There is a comfortable bedroom but there isn’t a big bathroom.

 NAME  Remember : When there is a question about a complete name, this includes name and surname. For example: A: What’s your complete name? B: My complete name is Carola Celia Yachetta. A: What’s her complete name? B: Her complete name is Jennie Belen Besora. A: What’s his complete name? B: His complete name is Fernando Gabriel Echeverría-Bogado.

 AGE  Remember: ▪ When there is a wh-question, the answer includes the age. For example: A: How old is she? B: She is 18 years old. ▪ When there is a question with the verb “to be”, the answer includes yes or no. For example: A: Are you 16 years old? B: Yes, I am. /No, I’m not. A: Is he 21 years old? B: Yes, he is./ No, he isn’t.

 OCCUPATION  When the question is “what’s your occupation?”, “what’s her occupation?” or “what’s his occupation?”, the answer includes the occupation. For example: A: What’s her occupation? B: She’s a secretary. When the question starts with “Are you a…?”, “Is he a…?” or “Is she a…?” the answer includes yes or no. For instance: A: Is she an engineer? B: Yes, she is. / No, she isn’t.

 CITY  When the question is “Where are you/ is he/is she from?” the answer includes the name of the city. For example: A: Where is he from? B: He’s from Geneva.  When the question starts with the verb “to be”, the answer includes yes or no. For example: A: Is he from Geneva? B: Yes, he is. /No, he isn’t.

 COUNTRY AND NATIONALITY  When the question starts with wh-, the answer includes the name of the country or the nationality. For example: A: What’s her nationality? B: She is Italian.  When the question starts with the verb “to be”, the answer includes yes or no. For example: A: Is he Italian? B: Yes, he is. / No, he isn’t.

 FAVOURITE FOOD  When the question starts with wh-, the answer includes the favourite food. For example: A: What’s his favourite food? B: His favourite food is ravioli.  When the question starts with the verb “to be”, the answer includes yes or no. For example: A: Is ravioli his favourite food? B: Yes, it is. / No, it isn’t.
