Nomadic Invaders Rule Egypt Hyksos – nomadic invaders who conquered Egypt and ruled from B.C. Hebrews immigrated under Hyksos rule

The New Kingdom of Egypt New Kingdom – period of Egyptian history following the overthrow of the Hyksos from B.C. Hatshepsut – female pharaoh encouraged trade over warfare Thutmose III – expanded Egypt upward into Palestine and Syria, and south into Nubia Ramses II – declared peace with the Hittites Said “Peace and Brotherhood between us forever”
