The Official China Distributor Launch provided MEY with the unique opportunity to showcase its large award winning spirits selection in China The 12th of August, MEY successfully introduced Chinese Distributors and F&B Directors to the broad selection of spirits in the historical setting of the new Intercontinental Shanghai Expo in Pudong. MEY will import 23 spirits, consisting of 5 categories, including wines, coffee and fruit liqueurs, award winning vodkas and the No.1 Anise drink globally, Yeni Raki. The Official China Distributor Launch was hosted at the historic 1930 villas located in the hotel gardens of the Intercontinental Shanghai Expo, which opened its door on the 18th of April this year. The hotel garden houses 9 free-standing 1930’s historical villas connecting guests with both the past and present. This is a beautiful metaphor for the 300 year Turkish history and tradition behind Yeni Raki and the more than 5000 years of wine-making history of Turkey. Together with China partner ICSME, MEY will establish China as its third main market – after Europe and North America – outside its home market, where it enjoys 65% market share and total revenues of 2bn USD as of MEY aims to create globally strong brands and to uphold the highest quality at the highest level thanks to the continuous development of the existing brands and products.
