Confucianism Questions Picture WHO WAS CONFUCIUS? Confucianism is a way of life taught by Confucius in the 6th–5th century BC. It means to influence other people’s lives. Questions WHO WAS CONFUCIUS? Confucius was the most famous philosopher in Chinese history. WHAT WAS CHINA LIKE DURING HIS LIFE? Ruling over lands was the most important thing going on when he was a boy . ACCORDING TO CONFUCIOUS, WHAT ARE THE FIVE BASIC RELATIONSHIPS? The five basic relationships were : Ruler, subject, husband and wife, father and son, older siblings‘ and younger siblings and friend and friend. HOW SHOULD PEOPLE ACT IN THOSE BASIC RELATIONSHIPS? They should be kind, honest, wise and faithful . WHAT INFLUENCE DID CONFUCIOUS HAVE ON CHINESE GOVERNMENT? People who do work for the government are called civil servants Picture The people must respect their elders ans set an example.

Taoism-(Daoism) Picture Questions WHO WAS LAOZI (LAO-TSU)? Laozi was the author of Dao De Jing. ACCORDING TO DAOISM, HOW SHOULD PEOPLE DISCOVER HOW TO BEHAVE? According to Daoism people should rely on the natural force of the universe. WHAT ARE YIN AND YANG? Yin and Yang are the true harmony that comes from the balancing the opposite forces of nature. ACCORDING TO DAOISTS, HOW SHOULD RULERS BEHAVE? According to Daoists rulers should behave by ruling the least. Taoism- Taoism in an ancient religion and philosophy that began in China 2,500 years ago. It means to let the universe handle the consequences of one’s actions.

ACCORDING TO HANFEIZI, WHAT WAS THE ONLY WAY TO CREATE A STRONG SOCIETY? HOW DID HANFEIZI BELIEVE A RULER SHOULD GOVERN? HOW DID THE QIN DYNASTY APPLY THE TEACHINGS OF HANFEIZI?
