What’s Your Spark? =LjJ-F8SoGQo From a little spark may burst a flame. -Dante Alighieri

What is a spark? We all have a spark within us, that THING that really lights us up, that set of unique skills talents, interests and characteristics that makes us who we are. It’s this spark that leads us on our path, and that is our contribution to the world.

What is a spark? A person’s spark is what they are really passionate about doing, an activity that unleashes their energy and joy, one that may allow them to really express their personality and perhaps make their own unique contribution to the world.

What is a spark? Hidden passion that comes from the gut and that can be anything to help you get on a positive path where you believe you have a sense of purpose in the world.

Why does spark matter? Because when young people know and develop a spark, and have the support of several adults in growing it, they present a strong picture of health and well being.

Still not sure what your spark is? Sparks can be artistic, sporty, or helping other people out. For some it can be people – like family. Sparks are more than just hobbies. Sparks are what drive an individual to be passionate, something they can turn to when things become difficult in their life.

What is your spark? Mrs. Hirt’s sparks: My family My sense of humor
