MHA’s advisory to all States Review and amend building byelaws In Municipal areas, all building plans to be submitted by architects and certified by a structural engineer (who will be responsible for code compliance) Evaluate seismic safety of existing life-line buildings and initialize retrofitting process Mandate for retrofitting of private hospitals, office and shopping complexes Carry out awareness generation campaigns
