7 Months of Carbon management Implementation Plan What’s happened? The Good The Bad People have heard of us! The Estates Office supports us! It’s getting easier to work with departments and their energy champs! We’ve got a communications subgroup! We’re ready for an IT subgroup! ΧAcademic members aren’t generally attending… ΧWe haven’t really created a carbon- related “background noise” yet… ΧNo one sees any initiatives as driven by us… ΧPeople are not working together on carbon-related stuff at a cross- campus level yet…

Why aren’t more people bothered? Carbon is a really big deal after all… Nobody else does it. Why should I bother? It’s not in my annual review performance targets… Wind turbines? Not in my back yard! What difference could I make anyway? I’m just one guy…

There’s loads of great stuff going on all over campus… …people are not working together on it.
