Our Adversary  We must have knowledge of our enemy to overcome our enemy.  Our adversary is Satan!

Our Adversary: Satan  Our Adversary is mighty  1 Pet. 5:8 (“…like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”)  He holds all power in the realm of darkness

Our Adversary: Satan  Our Adversary is deceitful  Deceiver: one who causes one to believe what is not true or misleads them.  Satan is the master of deception.  Gen. 3; 1 Tim. 2:14

Our Adversary: Satan  Our Adversary knows our weaknesses  For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” (1 John 2:16)  Satan will use the things of this world to try and lure us away from our Commander-In-Chief!

Conclusion:  We are at war!  Not against flesh and blood but against the rulers of darkness  We must be watchful to the end with all prayer, supplication, and perseverance!

We are in a constant battle between right and wrong, between light and darkness, between God and Satan. Help us always to be in “the LORD’s army!”
