Preserving One’s Dignity With Hijab Purity Workshop Preserving One’s Dignity With Hijab
Purity is the foundation of a moral society and the greatest example of purity is the Muslim woman proudly wearing her hijab with honor and dignity.
It’s difficult for men not to look at women, whether she is dressed or acting in a way that she’s suggesting for him to do so or not because men are naturally attracted to women’s femininity.
Whose attention do you desire and whose approval do you crave Whose attention do you desire and whose approval do you crave? Your wardrobe is a public statement of your personal and private motivation
What statement do you want to make by the way you dress?
“I need to dress to impress and what is wrong with using looks to get what I want?”
-It is selfishly playing on vanity -It sets a false image -It can lead to severe depression when you no longer have the looks -It makes girls go to extreme measures in order to keep the looks
They play on women’s self-image and keep us puppets of the newest fad
Islamic hijab takes away all this mainstream brain- washing and allows a woman to blossom into the woman her Creator designed
It’s hard (but not impossible) for men not to look, especially when a women is dressed or acting in a way that encourages them to do so, even if they have a wife, because it is their natural instinct.
Do you not think that He wants us to be happy and enjoy the pleasures He has provided us? We just have to follow the guidelines and commandments.
Purity and Modesty Not Only Taught in Islam “Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters with absolute purity.” -1st Timothy 5:2 “Anyone that looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” - Matthew 5:28
The power of hijab was very evident during the revolution in Iran, 1979. It was the women who encouraged the men to stand up for their rights (i.e. hijab), this inciting a revolution which toppled one of the most powerful regimes in the world at the time.
“Everyone knows what The Pill is “Everyone knows what The Pill is. It is a small object -- yet its potential effect upon our society may be even more devastating than the nuclear bomb." -Pearl Buck, Reader’s Digest, 1968
“History is showing us that young people are unable to be sexually active outside of a faithful marital situation and not suffer serious consequences. These consequences result in harm, not only to the individual, but also to families and society as a whole.”(p. 236) - Alan Singer, Review of “Sexuality, Commitment and Family” 2003

More From the Bible: “But when women are stripped of their dignity and degraded, the men are shamed as well, for the woman is the glory of the man.” -1 Corinthians 11:7 “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of immorality, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people.” -Ephesians 5:3
“The best woman among you is the one who discards the armor of shyness when she undresses for her husband, and puts on the armor of shyness when she dresses up again.” -Imam Al Baqir (as)
This is NOT hijab as Islam has intended This is NOT hijab as Islam has intended. In fact, it is defeating the purpose of hijab and sends mixed signals. It is like praying without wudhu, basically a waste of time.
Medical Reasons for Saving Virginity Until Marriage: Not having to worry about unwanted pregnancy Don’t have to worry about STDs No sex= no STDs No emotional trauma A man will tell you anything that you want to hear to get what he wants. After his needs are met, things change. Although he may still care and even love you, things do change and if he is not under the bonds of marriage he can leave much easier It is a fact men prefer their wives to be virgins. Women who keep their virginity have happier married lives.
So, we have a choice in regards to how we impact the younger generation of girls. We can set the foundation for purity under the protection of Islam. Or, we can set the foundation of impurity through not practicing modesty and following the whims of society. What choice will you make??
