Measure of Academic Progress (MAP)
Measures of Academic Progress is a tri-annual assessment used in the Hemet USD to keep track of each student’s academic level in math and ELA. It helps give us an idea of how our students will perform on the SBAC. What is MAP? ● Computer adaptive assessment-as a student responds to questions, the test responds to the student, adjusting up or down in difficulty. ● Powered by data and an equal-interval RIT scale to provide grade-independent analysis of a child’s learning ● Measures student growth, not grade to help pinpoint to the goal, strand level and where students are ready to advance and where they need help.
Who uses MAP? ● K-12 students in the areas of Math, Reading, and Language ● Teachers ● Instructional Aides/Proctors ● Site Administrators ● District Administrators The NWEA MAP Testing Window dates this year will be provided by your site admin.
