 Test how long it takes to bring 5 gallons of water to boil from a cold and hot start.

Use 2 kg of equally dried wood for both tests Record starting temperatures and how long it takes each one to boil Measure how much fuel was left out of the 2 kg Measure how much water was left from both tests Measure the air temperature during both tests Use the calculations from “Design Principles for Wood Burning Cook Stoves” in order to analysis the two different tests

 Cold start took a lot longer to bring to a boil than we had anticipated.  Hot start took a LOT less time to bring to a boil than the cold start test previous and used less fuel.  In order to determine our stove performs to what they currently use we will have to perform similar test with what they now use.
