What is the American Dream? The American Dream is the belief that in the United States of America, hard work can lead to a better life, usually through the earnings of money. It began with the promotion of Family, Career, and Leisure time. Ex. Husband, Wife, Blonde Haired Girl and Boy, with a DOG! House with White Picket Fence and a Family Car in the Driveway.

Constitutional Beliefs The Fathers of the Constitution declared We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure Domestic Tranquility, provide for the Common Defense, promote the general Welfare, and Secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

The 3 rd President of the U.S. stated… "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness." Thomas Jefferson, 1776

How do we make technology accessible to more people?

Intel World Ahead Program Intel is investing $1 billion over the next 5 years to enhance lives by providing access to uncompromised technology for anyone, anywhere. Places such as South Africa, South and Central America, and New Zealand.

What is the correlation between technology and, race, ethnicity, gender? The digital distance between the Industrialized and Underdeveloped countries is still growing. Today all 54 countries of Africa are online, but only 1% of its population is using the Internet. The gap between “Information Poor”and “Information Rich” is still growing. For comparison, one million South Africans are using the Internet in contrast to the only two thousand Nigerians.

Digital Divide Digital divide is the latest evocative term that refers to differences in access to and uses of information technology that are correlated with income, race and ethnicity, gender, age, place of residence, and other measures of socioeconomic status. According to the Department of Commerce, some people “have the most powerful computers, the best telephone service and fastest Internet service, as well as a wealth of content and training relevant to their lives. Another group of people... don’t have access to the newest and best computers, the most reliable telephone service or the fastest or most convenient Internet services. This is called the Digital Divide!!!!!!

Differences in Internet use between black and white Internet users The white population is now 50% online, while only 37% of the ethnic blacks are online Two years ago these percentages were only 47%, and 23%. Two Reasons Lack of Training Expense of computer The gap has become smaller each year.

Politics and the Internet The internet serves as a mechanism for timely and effective communications between citizens and governments at every level. The internet dramatically increases political participation, within the U.S and by extension, in any other country where a majority of the citizens have access to the internet. Is the Internet actually improving the political process? No because society will still have the same opinions they have always had.
