 1. chronological (adj): arranged in the order of occurrence; time order   Ms. Saylor asked us to put the historical events into chronological order on the timeline.   2. chronicle (n/v): a record or account of events as they happened in order/to record or write an account   I kept a chronicle of my days in Africa so I could share with others the events that happened while I was there.   I chronicled the events of my trip to Africa when I wrote in my journal. 

 3. chronic (adj): deep-rooted, lingering as an illness; long-established, habitual  If you have chronic allergies, you probably deal with your symptoms year-round.  4. synchronize (v): to cause to agree in time, speed or rate  We synchronized our watches before splitting up at the amusement park so we could meet for lunch at exactly 12:00.

5. anachronism (n): error in the order of time; person or thing placed historically in the wrong time; an obsolete person or thing The director of the movie had the Medieval crowd stomping their feet and chanting, “We will…we will…rock you,” which was an anachronism because that song by Queen wasn’t written until Word Root: chron/chrono- time
