 Promote the development of library collections to include Spanish-language and Latino oriented materials.  Recruits more bilingual and bicultural library professionals and support staff.  Work on the development of library services and programs that meet the needs of the Latino community.  Awards a number of scholarships to library school students that express interest in working with Latinos.  Provide information about the latest developments in library services to Latinos.

 Celebrating 30 years.  The chapter is dedicated to the improvement of library and information services in Southern California.  Provide our own scholarships for students attending library school.  META (Goal) Mentoring, Educating, Training, Advising.

META:  Designed to recruit, encourage and support bilingual and /or bicultural individuals in the SJSU School of Library and Information Science. The program will:  Provide you with individual guidance from a practicing librarian Enable you to learn more about the library profession  Foster and promote the development of library service to the Latino community Orange County Chapter
