Cold Beet Soup „WHAT’S ON YOUR PLATE? I FEEL GREAT!” GRUNDTVIG PARTNERSHIPS PROJECT

Cold beet soup Cold beet soup Probably was discovered in Middle Ages by simple people – peasants, who were looking for a way to allay their hunger in midday heat and – at the same time – to use products being at hand. It's refreshing on a hot day

Ingredients: approx. 1 kg peeled and cooked red beets (canned ones can also be used) 2 medium cucumbers, peeled, and cut into pieces 4 peeled hard-boiled eggs 1 cup sour cream 1 liter buttermilk fresh chopped dill

Dill and scallion are integral part of the soup. They relish the fresh and spicy taste of the soup.

It is a beet soup, so we need beet, but by this time beet must already be peeled and cooked

Traditional cold beet soup can’t be imagined without well boiled eggs. We also need buttermilk. And sour cream By the way, Kefir and buttermilk have dietary features. During the milk fermenting process, lactic acid is created which beneficially affects digestive apparatus, positively impacts general health of the body, and strengthens immunity.

EGGS... Well boiled, cut into pieces

Cucumbers - peeled, (seeded – if necessary) and cut into pieces

Fresh and spicy taste – dill and scallions!!!

To enhance the flavour we use spices – salt,pepper,mustard,vinegar...

It is really easy to prepare this soup. You must put all pre-prepared ingredients together and wait until it retracts in your refrigerator

The most delicious soup will be a few hours after preparation

If you want the soup Be more substantial, you can add some potatoes – boiled and cut into pieces The cold soup is so popular in summer not only because it is delicious, healthy and freshening, but also because it is easy to make and cheap.
