Traffic sample

Company Logo  What is alcohol detecting system?  a kind of system which can detect the alcohol concentration in the cars to prevent the behavior of drunk driving.

Company Logo  What we choose this project?  These years, the cases of traffic accident caused by drunk driving have increased rapidly.  More and more people have realized that the drunk driving does great harm to public security. It’s time to develop a kind of system which can stop the drunk driving effectively.  we try to develop this system which is available on every car.

outline INTRODUCTION 1 CHIP AND OTHER DEVICES 2 PROBLEMS 3 FUTURE PLAN 4

advantages Less cost for every driver to put it in your car Sensor is sensitive to detect alcohol after drink two hours or more Connect to the Android phone or iphone, which could easily see diagram on the screen

What we used in this system ADS MSP-430MQ-3 ANDROID OTHER-MATERISLS ARDUINO MEGA BLUETOOTH MODULE

FLOW CHART

MQ-3

What we have done before midterm and after midterm The second step The third step The first step 1.Choose topic 2.Find proper device and material 3.Set structure of our system 4.Research on alcohol level on after drunk(20min) 1.Test arduino mega and alcohol sensor 2. Test different level of alcohol 3. Bluetooth connection 4. Android programming 1.Connect all the devices 2.Package the all parts 3.Set the diagram on the ardroid phone 4.Find one mechanic device that can connect to the car

Company Logo Problems 1 The sensor is so sensitive so we have to set all other conditions at the same and it’s a little hard to calculate the alcohol concentration 2 Using the amarino solves the problem of programming of phone, but it still has some software problems 3 Put the device to the car, which connects to the car ignition

Blood / breath alcohol concentration ( BAC ) Blood / breath alcohol concentration(BAC) is the amount of alcohol in the bloodstram or on one’s breath. BAC is expressed as the weight of ethanol, measured in grams, in 100 milliters of blood, or 210 liters of breath. BAC can be measured by breath, blood, or urine tests. Alcohol may affect Alcohol driving skills at BACs of 0.05 We could use the BAC calculate to do so There’re some factor may affect the BAC, such as weight, age, how fast you drink and so on.

Price in total

future We cannot find other ways out to “persuade” driver to test their breath every time whenever they want to use. If they drunk, they may prefer to ignore the stuff even if they use it before. Compulsory is only way for the system. The system will connect to the ignition device, which means the breath is the second key for your journey. In addition, there’s an option that we try to put the system on the key of your car because refitting the car is a tough work for everyone to do.
