Genesis 9:1 1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth…

Genesis 9: The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.) 19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth.

I. The Prophecy of Noah, Gen 9:20-29 Genesis 9: When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him, 25 he said, "Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers." 26 He also said, "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem. 27 May God extend the territory of Japheth; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be his slave." 28 After the flood Noah lived 350 years. 29 Altogether, Noah lived 950 years, and then he died.

II. The Table of Nations, Gen 10 Genesis 10:1 1 This is the account of Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah's sons, who themselves had so ns after the flood.

Genesis 10:32 32 These are the clans of Noah's sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.

III. The Tower of Babel, Gen 11:1-9 Genesis 11:1-9 1 Now the whole world had one language and a common speech [Hebrew?]... found a plain in Shinar and settled there… 4 Then they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city, with a tower that reaches to the heavens, so that we may make a name for ourselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth."…

III. The Tower of Babel, Gen 11:1-9 6 The Lord said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them. 7 Come, let us go down and confuse their language so they will not understand each other." 8 So the Lord scattered them from there over all the earth… 9 That is why it was called Babel--because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world. From there the Lord scattered them over the face of the whole earth.

IV. The Lineage of Christ, Gen 11:10-32 Genesis 11:10 10 This is the account of Shem. Two years after the flood, when Shem was 100 years old, he became the father of Arphaxad… 26 became the father of Abram

The Abrahamic Covenant Promise, to ALL peoples on earth Genesis 12:2-3 2 "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."
