  I immigrated to the United States in 1913

 I was unemployed in Italy  Looking for a better life

 Ellis Island was my port of entry at age 18 on December 23, 1913

 I spend time on the streets  Odd jobs such as busing tables in restaurants and gardening.  I worked as a taxi dancer at Maxim’s

 I was raised Catholic as was the custom Italy at the time, he was never much interested in religion, yet he would attend church to make his devote mother happy

New York City

 In 1917, I joined an operetta company that traveled to Utah where it disbanded.  Then I joined an Al Jolson production of Robinson Crusoe Jr., travelling to Los Angeles.

 I was a sex symbol of the 1920s.  I was known as the “Latin Lover”  My nicknames- The Great Lover The Sheik The Latin Lover
