Thomas Gage lll Thomas Gage was born in 1721.He was born in Firle, Gloucestershire, England. His father was Thomas Gage l, and his mother was Margaret Kemble. Some people know that he was governor of Massachusetts, but what most people don't know is he was also the governor of Montreal. He entered the army in His military career began in North America in 1754, when he sailed with his regiment to serve in the last French and Indian War. He was a General and military commander in the early days of the Revolutionary War. Gage was also in the Battle of Bunker Hill, then was replaced by William Howe. Gage's life ended in April 2, 1787 when he died suddenly, but no one knows how.
