Slaves and blues music.

Type of instruments they played The types of instruments the blue’s used were jawbones, finger tips, sticks and scarping their teeth.

How slaves were treated  Slaves were treated like dogs this was horrible because they were beaten, slept on hard rough beds (made out of straw) and were fed little amounts.  Also pregnant women were forced to work still even though they were pregnant, they would get short breaks ( 5mins) and would get straight back to work.  At the end of the day when the master went to bed you would have to clean a shoe full of cotton (the size shoe you was) until the cotton was clean then you could go to bed.

Why music was important to slaves  Music was important to slaves because it expressed their unhappiness.

why life was horrible for slaves Life was horrible for slaves because they had to leave their families. Can you imagine if a dad left his new born son just to work and not getting paid for it, also when they leave their families they could not contact them because there was no phones and the were hundreds of miles away.

How music inspire the blues Blues songs expressed how slaves used to feel and how they expressed themselves.
