They began also learning greek. This is part of the Rebirth of the Renaissance People became fascinated by history! They went on quests to find unknown books.

They married Kings and Queens! They were good at banking. They created the double entry system of debits and credits, deposits and withdrawals. Giovanni di Bicci entered banking on his own. His son Cosimo the Elder became head of state in Florence.
