Desire for trade led to more connections between continents. Marco Polo journeyed from Venice to China Traders traveled the Silk Road, trading for silk, tea, spices, ideas, skills, and customs Zheng He sailed to India, East Indies, Africa, Arabia, and the Red Sea strengthening Chinese exploration by sea.
