since 1951 in Vienna The unmistakable FREYWILLE style, a style of enamel art and vivid fire enamel technology. Manufacture of enamel

The Artwork The center of every line is the artistic design inspired by European and humanist philosophy, by immaterial values and an intensive joy of life. Careful art-historical enquiries and a great love in details are the beginning of every line. The academically trained artists let guide themselves by their passion for unique design for lines both inspired freely and tributing some of the most famous decorative artists of the modern age. From the idea over first outlines until the introduction of a new line it lasts usually about two years. Die handgemalten Entwürfe At the Design-Atelier artists create the first sketches of the new designs. Detailed outlines are done with special colors and color mixtures.

Fire-enamel is applied in several layers each fired seperately. Every layer is crafted with the same diligance. About 80 to 100 individual operations are necessary to finish one piece of jewellery. The glass has to be grinded to powder.

Enamel-slurry is put on the blank by hand with a spray- gun. blanks 1. Basic enamelling (black) 2. enamelling (light blue) Workpieces are painted with enamel using a spray-gun.

Now the painting can be started. 4. enamelling (transparent) 3. enamelling (white)

The finished fire-enamel, a small, fragile plate of colours with intensive vividness of design is mounted in a setting of a shape that had been constructed by the highly skilled designers of FREYWILLE-product development. finished pieces of jewellery

The unique technique of fire-enamelling The patented technique of fire- enamelling of FREYWILLE lets shine the applied colour brightly and gives them a matchless vividness. The fire-enamel is fired near the center of Vienna in many individual operations and crafted to an ornate piece of jewellery. onglaze- fire at about 700° C. Every single colour has to be fired seperately.

. Colours and enamel are compounded inseparably. The brilliance of the colours unfolds at the final onglaze fire. Bracelets ready for the onglaze fire. About 80 to 100 individual operations are necessary to finish a single piece of jewellery.
