What is Pan-Africanism?  Movement dedicated to establishing independence for Africa nations  And unity for black throughout the world  Originated with conferences in London  1900, 1919, 1921, 1923  First truly intergovernmental conference held in 1958 (Ghana)

Bob Marley and Pan-African  Influenced by Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie  Garvey believed that blacks wanted their own country, and culture to be respected, as well as freedom.  December 3, 1976 Assassination attempt  His music and influence was heard and felt across the world.
