Heritage of Health Heritage of Health ADVENTIST HERITAGE of HEALTH, HOPE & HEALING HEALING Dr. Bill Andress, DrPH, MPH, MA, MCHES is a graduate of Loma Linda University and a former missionary to Japan, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. Prior to his present position as associate professor of Health & Exercise Science at La Sierra University in southern California, he was an assistant professor of Wellness, Health Promotion, and Injury Prevention at Oakland University, north of Detroit, MI. While serving as Director of Health Promotion and Wellness at the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital, he began to ask the question, “Why did God give a health message to the Seventh-day Adventist Church?” This seminar is the result of his personal quest to answer that question.

With the exception of Joseph Bates, they were largely a sickly group.
