¡La Salsa! Fundada en Nueva York

Instrumentos y vestidos de Salsa El Trombón La Trompeta Las Maracas El Bongo La Guitarra Salsa dance grew out of the renown of mambo in North America, due to the rise of Cuban and Puerto Rican ethnicities in New York City. These two communities created their own distinct interpretations of salsa dancing and became a part of the New York club scene.

Movimientos y Significado de Salsa The “Break Step”- a change in direction Dances are coordinated by “weight changes” and “beats”, which vary depending on the type of Salsa. The “Cuban Hip Movement”- when the hips move up and down due to weight changes. The Literal meaning of Salsa is “Danceable Latin Music”, and it’s all about the rhythm. Salsa refers to the type of Salsa developed by the Puerto Ricans and Cuban immigrants in New York. It also incorporates Latin and Jazz Styles.

Hecho Histórico Jèssica Rodriguez sang for a Salsa Orchestra in tribute to Celia Cruz, a Salsa Idol. In Salsa festivals, they present dance groups to celebrate the New Youth. Salsa events and competitions attract participants with a lot of talent. The Salsa congress was a term used to describe a Salsa festival with a few characteristics of a Congress. It is now a meeting of amateur Salsa dancers to practice and is popular in many Spanish-Speaking countries.

Grandes de la Musica Salsa Gilberto Santa Rosa-"Homenaje a Eddie Palmieri“ Gilberto developed the soneo style of salsa, which mixed the tropical and romantic styles of Salsa. ·Rubén Blades- “Pedro Navaja”(a song about a neighborhood thug who dies during a robbery)

Un Hecho Interesante One thing that is very interesting about the salsa is that there are very many different types of it! Including, Linear style, New York style, Latin style, Mambo style, Miami Style, Cuban style, Casino style, and many, many more! All with different origins, beats, rhythms, steps, movements, and history behind them!
