Freedom of religion, of speech, of press, to petition, and to assembly.

Right to bear arms.

No soldier will ever be quartered in anyone’s house without the owner’s consent in a time of peace. Nor in time of war, if not asked by law.

The police can not search someone's person (body), house, papers, or effects (other things) without having a good reason. They can not take any thing from someone without a good reason.

“I plead the 5 th !” This means that a criminal can not be made to testify against him/herself.

Right to a speedy, fair, and public trial.

In civil cases, where the value in controversy exceeds $20.00, there will still be a trial by jury.
