Shavuot – Feast of Weeks In order to understand the counting of the Omer and the days allocated to the spring feasts we need to take a closer look at some definitions that scripture defines around this. Order of Events: In Order to understand the pattern of the events we need to look at how it was defined by God’s instruction (Torah) when the Hebrews left Egypt. Before we can continue we first all need to get on the same page regarding Some fundamentals around God’s Time.

Creation Week Genesis 1: In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. 3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. It is important to note that God’s Day Start with Evening And Ends with Morning. In layman’s terms it means Sunset to Sunset. This establishes the Pattern on which all Feast Counts should be counted. FEAST: 04150: 4150 mow`ed mo-ade' or moled mo-ade'; or (feminine) moweadah (2 Chronicles 8:13) mo-aw-daw'; from 3259; properly, an appointment, i.e. a fixed time or season; specifically, a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand):--appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn(-ity), synogogue, (set) time (appointed). see HEBREW for 03259

First we have the Sabbath Day defined Leviticus 23: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. 3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. It is important to note that THE Sabbath is fixed on the Seventh Day and there is NO WORK permitted on the THE Sabbath. It is also Interesting that THE Sabbath is defined on it’s own among the other Feasts of the Lord. Other Feast Days are also called a Holy Convocation and even Sabbath and High Sabbath’s, but there is a clear distinction on the Sabbath of Rest, the Seventh Day. We keep THE Sabbath on the SEVENTH DAY from Friday Evening until Saturday Evening as per the Pattern that was established in the Creation Week.

1st DAY2nd DAY3rd DAY4th DAY5th DAY6th DAY7th DAY

Check Point Before we continue: It is important at this point to clearly understand the pattern that was established. If you are not 100% sure, I will rather explain it again then continue.

Passover Leviticus 23: 5 5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover. You can read more about this in Exodus 12 or Leviticus 23 Important to note that the Passover Lamb is slain on the evening of the 14 th of the Month.

Unleavened Bread Leviticus 23: In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the LORD'S Passover. 6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. 7 In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 8 But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. When does it Start and when does it End? If we read Leviticus 23 we would say that the feast of unleavened bread starts on the 15 th Day as per the scripture. However, read it again carefully and note that the scripture here nowhere refers to the 15 th as the starting date of the feast of unleavened bread. So where does it say when it starts? Exodus12: And ye shall observe the feast of unleavened bread; for in this selfsame day have I brought your armies out of the land of Egypt: therefore shall ye observe this day in your generations by an ordinance for ever. 18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

Unleavened Bread Scripture states that the Feast of Unleavened bread will start on the Evening of the 14 th (Meaning the Start of the 14 th Day – as God’s days start at evening and end at Morning. (The evening of the 14 th is also when the lamb was slain.) Day 14 will be complete at the Evening of Day 15 which is the start of the 15 th Day, thus the first complete day of the Feast of unleavened bread will be the evening of the 15 th (Start of the 15 th Day). On the 15 th day of the month it will be the feast of unleavened bread as stated in Exodus 12, and this is also the day the Hebrews left Egypt. Now we can start the count forward. The Evening of the 21 st must be the 7 th Day as stated in verse 18. Understanding this in context of God’s time this makes perfect sense.

Exodus12:18 18 In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even.

Unleavened Bread Thought: It is interesting to note that there is nowhere in scripture that it refers to Pesach as a Sabbath day, however it is. Why would that be? I think the answer became clear in the Unleavened Bread. The First Day of Unleavened bread is also on the Passover thus making it a Sabbath. It is therefore not required to mention that it is a Sabbath because it already is.

First Fruits Leviticus 23: Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: 11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it. So we need to determine what day the Sabbath was for the sheaf was waved the next day after the Sabbath. Important Note: Nowhere in scripture is it referring to the first or the last day’s of the feast of unleavened bread as Sabbath’s, only Holy convocations. Further to this it is stating that you are allowed to do work on these days in preparation of food that is not allowed on THE Sabbath. We therefore must be referring to THE Sabbath as the Actual weekly Sabbath. In addition God is very clear with His instructions, it is man that complicates things through intellectual reasoning. Every Feast of Unleavened Bread will have an actual Sabbath in it, I am pretty sure God Knows this. Finally it also fits the pattern of Yeshua being the First Fruits.

First Fruits John 20:15 15 Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away. Mary thought Yeshua was the Gardener? Why? Is it perhaps because He seemed like a gardener busy collecting His Sheaf for the Wave Offering? One does not just presume somebody in a garden is a gardener unless he is busy attending to the garden in some way. Additional Food for Thought: Just a thought! (Please Don’t Quote me on this as fact – until confirmation is received)

First Fruits Matthew 28:1 1 In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. Based on the information supplied in Matthew 1 we now know the following: It was at the end of THE Sabbath (Weekly Sabbath) Began to Dawn toward the First Day of the Week (Sunday) NOTE, it is not yet Sunday, Yeshua was resurrected on the Third Day not the Fourth which would be Sunday. With this information we can no apply it to the pattern. Let’s apply the pattern that we have used so far to the crucifixion and see If it fits the claims:

First Fruit Wave Offer Daniel 9: And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. Cut off in the midst of the Week

Crucifixion Thoughts The following thought accord to me, and I would like to share it with you. It is interesting to note that the Jews do not keep Passover on the Evening of the 14 th of Nissan. Instead they keep it on the Evening of the 15 th of Nissan. Yeshua however did keep to the Commandments of God and kept the Passover on the Evening of the 14 th of Nissan with His Disciples. To proof the point: The Pharisees told Pilot they can not deal with Yeshua due to their preparing for Pesach, remember this was already the 14 th of Nissan. However if the Jews did keep Pesach on the correct day, they would not have been able to sacrifice the true lamb of God Sacrifice on the appointed time. Otherwords they would not have crucified Yeshua on Pesach. Thus failing the sacrifice. Very Interesting I thought.

Shavuot Leviticus 23: And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: 16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. 17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. We have determined the day the Wave Offer took place as the 20 th April 2014 according to the instructions in Torah: We now need to count the Omer: 50 Days from that day (Wave Offering) 7 Complete Sabbaths in the count The day after the 7 th Sabbath should be count 50.

What we should see: Count Start on day After Sabbath (Sheaf Wave) 20 April 2014 Count 50 Should end on a day after Sabbath Should see 7 complete Sabbaths in count Start Counting 50 Even 7 th June – Even 8 th June

Shavuot Feast Dates Summary: Pesach: Evening 14 th April 2014 – Evening 15 th April 2014 Feast of Unleavened Bread: Evening 14 th April 2014 – Evening 20 th April 2014 First and Last Days of Feast of Unleavened Bread (Holy Convocations): Evening 14 th April 2014 – Evening 15 th April 2015 & Evening 19 th April – Evening 20 th April 2014 First Fruit Wave Offering: 20 th April 2014 Counting of Omer Start Date: 20 th April 2014 Counting of Omer End Date: 08 th June 2014 Day of Shavuot: Evening 07 th June 2014 – Evening 08 th June 2014
