Presentation transcript:

Marcos Heres,2ºF English, EOI Avilés The Peseta was the Spanish currency unit from October 19th 1868 to February 28th 2002.

Marcos Heres,2ºF English, EOI Avilés That day we said: “Good Bye Peseta” and then we said “Welcome euro”.

Marcos Heres,2ºF English, EOI Avilés We were happy because we had the same currency as other powerful countries like France, Germany or England. But it wasn’t easy. It was as when you travel abroad and you must calculate the price of things. The change was: 1 €  166,386 Ptas. Six years later, many Spaniards are still calculating the price of things in Pesetas.

Marcos Heres,2ºF English, EOI Avilés The negative part is that the prices have risen too much. Some things that before cost 100 Ptas, now cost 1 € (166,386 Ptas)......but the salaries have not risen But not everything is negative, you can now travel throughout the European Union without changing the currency

Marcos Heres,2ºF English, EOI Avilés NEW MEMBERS MUST BE PATIENT BECAUSE ALL THIS IS GREAT BUT NO EASY.
