Cubism Cubism is a style of art that began in the early 1900’s. A cubist work of art is painting or drawing of a 3-d object that is drawn from different viewpoints (straight-on, profile view, on top, underneath, etc.) Cubist art is not meant to be realistic.

Pablo Picasso Born: October 25, 1881 Died: April 8, 1973 Spanish painter, draftsman and sculptor who lived most of his life in France. Best known for his co-founding of the Cubist movement in art. As a child, could draw very well, but tried out new and different techniques as he grew.
