Function The Electric Guitar is used to satisfy the professional guitar player who wants a more versatile solution. Versatile is the capability of an object to do many different things such as amplification. The amplifier plugs with the guitar to make it do different things. Objects (for example) pedals can also make the guitar and amplifier to do many different things.

Major Materials Maple is used to make the neck of the guitar R osewood is used to make the fret and finger boards The guitar has a Mahagany body and a flamed maple top The strings can be made of steel, nickel, phrosphor, and bronze

Why the materials were Chosen Maple is harder and has a brighter sound then mahagany Rosewoods are strong and heavy taking an exellent polish being suitable for guitars Steel has iron and has carbon content between 0.2% and 2.1%

Brief History of The Object The electric guitar was created by George Beauchamp in 1931 which was a hollow body. The earliest electric guitars featured smaller sound holes in the body. These are known as semi hollow body electric guitars. The solid body electric guitar was created by musician and inventor Les Paul in 1941.
