What are my options? College Vocational School Get a Job Stay Home

Why should I get training? You go to college or vocational school so that you will have an interesting and fulfilling career. How do I know which one is right for me? Look at your grades and classes. How are you doing in school right now? What careers are you interested in? Do a career assessment.

College vs. Vocational School In college you study many subjects to gain broad general knowledge. You can go to a community college for 2 years and then transfer to a 4-year college to earn a Bachelor’s degree. It takes 4 years (full-time) to earn a basic college degree. In vocational school you only take classes for the type of work that you are going to do. You go to vocational school for 6 months to 2 years and earn a certificate. In vocational school you learn a job hands-on.
