 Develop advanced understandings of victim, witness and service user experience and wider community priorities and experiences.  Develop detailed understandings of the inputs, outputs and outcomes of criminal justice and public safety interventions.  Embed the clear relationship between evidence of “what works” and practice “on the ground What are we here for?

Where do we want to be?  An integral part of the delivery of effective policing, public safety and criminal justice services across Northamptonshire for the benefit of all.  Highly recognised and respected presence in the field of Evidence Based activity by practitioners, policy makers and the academic community.  Major contributor to the study and understanding of Evidence Based approaches locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.  Financially self sufficient.

What are we going to do? Some early examples  Telephone survey programme  Anti-social behaviour strategic analysis  Evaluation of a pilot study of the use of sobriety bracelets to influence desistance from crime.  Frontline voices – including the Special Constabulary.  Young people and internet risk  Review and re-visit vocational and other training provision.

How will we know if we are making a difference?  Demonstrable impact – added value, additionality and acceleration.  Delivering intellectual capital  Embedded
