What is conservation? The protection, preservation and care of our natural resources.

Who should conserve? EVERYONE

City Ordinances Conservation Shortage Restrictions on irrigation – Irrigation prohibited between the hours of 10:00a.m. and 6:00p.m. during the months of June, July, August and September.

PRACTICAL LAWN CARE Planting drought tolerant varieties  Requires less mowing  Less water usage  Less fertilizer

SOIL IMPROVEMENT Adding compost, manure or organic matter will improve root development as well as increase water penetration and retention.

MULCH Use mulch around plants to reduce watering needs, weed growth and to slow erosion.
