Academics Satisfaction Level Early Childhood (Preschool thru 1 st ) = 7.57 (54 responses) Elementary (2 nd thru 5 th ) = 8.10 (74 responses) Academy (6 th thru 8 th ) = 7.55 (57 responses) Confidence in child being prepared for high school = 7.81 (128 responses) Responses: “I think the assignments, grading and curriculum should be more rigorous.” “I love that the curriculum is aligned across the grades.” “Stop teaching to the middle. The kids on the high end never get challenged. To much time is spent on doing homework in class and not teaching material at a faster pace. So no homework goes home and it does not prepare them for high school.” “I can compare the education of St. Regis to other private schools in the area such as Sacred Heart. I think that St. Regis prepares the student for high school better than many schools by giving the students mid-terms and final exams.” Action Steps: 1 st grade is now switching classes. Alyson Brown has been added to Educare Team to assist ALL students. Advanced Placement Math and English for 7 th and 8 th grades. All teachers had Professional Development over the summer.

Community Satisfaction Level = 8.15 (129 responses) Responses: “The staff and administration are also excellent at St. Regis, but the community is like no other!” “As a newcomer to St. Regis last year, I feel that more could be done to proactively support new families and integrate them into the school community.” “I enjoy that it is a small, community feel. A lot of the families know each other and consequently, the parents and kids grow with each other. People really step up when someone is in need, which is really nice.” I feel that St. Regis can increase its sense of community. I think that community should always be considered when planning events making decisions and communicating with the school community.” Action Steps: Mrs. Grobbel is further developing the Mentor Family Program, including orientation. Parish/School picnic with over 200 families in attendance. Gala is open to everyone to plan and attend. Fun Run. 1 st day of school coffee. Regis Rallies.

Teachers Satisfaction Level Early Childhood (Preschool thru 1 st ) = 8.11 (54 responses) Elementary (2 nd thru 5 th ) = 8.01 (74 responses) Academy (6 th thru 8 th ) = 7.55 (57 responses) Responses: “We came to St. Regis in hopes that our daughter would finally find the educational confidence she was lacking. Her teachers have been absolutely phenomenal. They regularly communicate with us, but the most important thing is that they take the time to look our daughter in the eye and communicate with her and get to know her. That’s something she did not have in public school. Her confidence is now soaring and her grades are fantastic. There isn’t a day that I don’t count my blessings for the teachers at St. Regis because I have a smiling little girl again.” “In general, hiring and mentoring teachers that can teach beyond the textbook would be beneficial. A focus on making learning exciting and moving away from the ‘traditional’ Catholic school practices which involve more rote learning.” “Expertise is lacking in several subjects in the academy.” “Academy students stay with their same classmates almost every hour of the day, because the school is unwilling to hire additional teachers, is not an acceptable Middle School model, where students should be encouraged to meet other students and expand their peer networks.” Action Steps: Director of Curriculum and Instruction Microsoft Platform 7 new teachers hired and 2 student teachers Teacher professional development to work ‘beyond textbook teaching.’ Academy will have 4 different main schedules with advance placement reading and math. Electives and banding for academy

Administration/Leadership Satisfaction Level = 7.78 (129 responses) Responses: “Communication is often slow and non direct.” “While everyone is well intended… the administration tends to have knee jerk reactions some of which emphasize ‘form over substance.’” “The administration is working hard to create a 21 st century learning environment. Professional development and the willingness to try new methods of learning helps to meet the needs of all students and not just those that fit in the box of a traditional classroom. Children are respected and listened to by the administration which shows respect for the students’ minds and ability to be leaders of their own education.” Action Steps: Mrs. Nodland - new position ‘Director of Curriculum and Instruction’ created to replace ‘Dean of Students’ Colleen Moore hired as Director of Pastoral Communications to streamline the enews and our website.

Catholic Mission Satisfaction Level = 8.26 (129 responses) Responses: “Faith is the most important part of a child’s upbringing.” “I’m disappointed with religion in the middle school.” “I wish there was more emphasis on being kind and having the kids work together… St. Regis seems to be getting more and more cliquey with both the children and their parents.” Action Steps: Hired an Academy Religion Teacher/Chair for the entire building. Purchased a new religion series by Loyola Press. This year’s theme is “We are made in Christ’s image.”

Facilities Satisfaction Level = 6.40 (129 responses) Responses: “Air and update parking lot and school car line.” “the campus is somewhat limited by its size in terms of its ability to expand. Ideally, there would be additional common areas for various student activities meeting and gatherings.” Action Steps: As of Spring over ½ the building has air conditioning. Timeline in place to roll out air conditioning to entire building. Parking lot can be addressed after Changing Lives Together is completed.

Technology Satisfaction Level = 6.88 (129 responses) Responses: “Able to access/do homework online.” “Technology lessons need to be more than learning to play apps in school.” Action Steps: Lego Robotics Goal of Microsoft Platform Team of teachers took the product that was purchased and aligned curriculum expectations across all grade levels. Going forward, all textbooks purchased will have an online component.

Other Responses: “Class sizes are too large… not enough attention paid to kids that might be struggling.” “More time spent on physical activities, ie: increase in gym class.” Action Steps: Class size is a balance with budget and is annual discussion in SAC budget meeting. 2 Educare teachers to support the entire school. New gym teacher is offering structured opportunities at recess. Gaga Pit and new playground equipment were purchased with auction and ski club funds. Thursdays a LaCrosse coach comes to recess to work with the kids.

Additional Items Mother and Father’s Day Programs (127 responses) Don’t Change Anything = 31% Combine Both into One Event = 21% Eliminate Both = 12% Don’t Have an Opinion = 9% Other = 28% Responses: “Have just one ‘Special Person’ day.” “Make the days full school days with parents coming just at the beginning or end of the day.” “Make it more grade focused. Like a picnic lunch with mom & dessert with dad.” “These events don’t accommodate working parents.” “Can’t imagine not having the 8 th grade mothers honor their children and sing for all the other moms.”
