Sudan Food and Customs Sudanese fry there coffee beans over a pot, then mix with cloves and special spices and mix together. Then it is ready to be served. Truly one of a kind drink. Dinner is served on a very low table and you take your seat on a nice fluffy pillow. Then it is a custom to have water poured on your hands to wash them. The water is poured from a ritual piece called a Ebrig. After this you usually have a four course meal (Soup, Salad, Entrée, Dessert). History Of Sudan Sudan has been a place that people have called home for the last nine million years, it was around in biblical times.
