The boys and girls get six weeks off for Christmas. They eat salad,cold meat,and sea food. They spend time with their families and go to the beach.

They have Boxing Day. It is on December 26. And on December 26 is St. Stephens Day. Trades people carried little boxes to collect tips and gifts. They waited to open the box until the day after Christmas. It was called Boxing Day because the gifts were given in boxes. Most people still remember the spirit of the holiday by saying thanks.

Australia Day performances are music,sporting,events, and speech days. Australia Day is a community day. Australia Day is on January 26. The nativs in the wild call this celebration Corroboree. Men and boys paint their bodies. They make sounds like animals in the outback.

Anzac Day includes biographies, diaries, painting, photos and maps of the Gollipoli Campaign. Anzac Day celebrates by watching people who have been in the wars, marching in the streets, and eat biscuits. Anzac Day is on April 25. Ari Burnu memorial, Gallipoli

The Queens birthday is when everyone gets a day off to celebrate the queens birthday. The queens birthday is celebrated on June 6th.

Easter is a time to celebrate Jesus. On a Good Friday they have hot buns to remember Jesus dying on the cross. Easter is when the Easter bunny brings egg. The Easter eggs are a sign of new life. Easter always falls on the first Sunday.

St. Valentines Day is when people give gifts like cards, and anything that means loving family. St. Valentines Day is on February fourteenth.

Mothers Day is the second Sunday in May. Sometimes they get presents, breakfast in bed and cards.

Each November in Australia people stop what they are doing and listen to the Melbourne horse race. Melbourne Day is on the first Tuesday in November.

The boys and girls eat Fairy Bread for their birthday.Another name Fairy Bread is hundreds and thousands. Fairy Bread is a popular snack with tiny round sprinkles.
