Significant energy savings could be realized by switching off your lights for an hour. The world needs to take stand for more definitive actions to mitigate climate change effects.

For LGUs… Switch off lights in major thoroughfares and in landmarks in your areas of jurisdiction, if and when possible Mobilize the community to switch off lights in their households Mobilize stakeholders in organizing a parallel Earth Hour event in your city or community Mobilize the private sector to support Earth Hour by switching off their signage lights or some of their lights in their facilities, as their operations/business will allow Send a delegation to the Earth Hour Countdown Event at the SM Mall of Asia on March 28, 7-10 PM

For Private Sector Companies… Switch off your corporate signages and/or majority or all of the lights at your headquarters and facilities during Earth Hour Encourage your employees to switch off lights in their households Mobilize your networks and communities to participate during the Earth Hour event at the Mall of Asia Use your communication channels to promote Earth Hour Switch from incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in your headquarters and/or facilities Place standard Earth Hour banners/streamers in your building façade/ facilities that are seen/accessed by the public as part of awareness building

For the Church… Encourage the participation of the faithful in the Earth Hour Event Mobilize networks and communities to participate during the Earth Hour Countdown Event at the SM Mall of Asia Organize parallel events in connection with the environmental programs of the Church and which may be aligned to the objectives of Earth Hour Switch from incandescent bulbs to compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) in your church buildings and parish offices and community centers Promote Earth Hour during Masses or through other communication channels
