Established in 2008 Over 60 members In 2011, we changed Polish permits and escort rules We provide legal and consulting support for our members we act to harmonise local rules concerning abnormal transport About Us Our lietmotif: Nothing about us - without us

2 Permit and escort Permit – 6 categories, escort – basic requirements

Current permit Permit Oversize vehicles Roads Cat. I a) dimensions and GVW not higher than permissible values, b) axle loads not exceeding the values designated for roads with permissible single axle load of up to 11.5 t; local, district, regional indicated in the permit

VI a) width not exceeding: m for an undivided road, - 4 m for a dual carriageway, LOS: A (motorway), S (expressway) and GP (fast traffic trunk road), b) length not exceeding: - 15 m for a single vehicle, - 23 m for a combination of vehicles, - 30 m for a combination of vehicles with steering axles, c) height not exceeding 4.3 m, d) GVW not exceeding 60 t, e) axle loads not higher than values designated for roads where the permissible single axle load does not exceed 11.5 t; national – in accordance with the list of roads enumerated in Art. 64c section 8

Escort in Poland

Applicable provisions concerning escort Oversize vehicles exceeding at least one of the dimensions below: length - 23 m width – 3.2 m height – 4.5 m GVW - 60 tons are to be piloted by 1 pilot. Oversize vehicles exceeding at least one of the dimensions below: length - 30 m width – 3.6 m height – 4.7 m GVW - 80 tons are to be piloted by 2 pilots, one in front of and one behind the vehicle

Legal issues  Indivisible cargo  “No compliance with the permit” = “lack of permit”  Only slight responsibility of contracting authorities
