Rovers in Finland year olds ~1500 rovers 3-5 rovers / rover group Rover escort / adult supporter

What is it?

The strengths Good structure 4 year program 33 sections -> 33 activities National Rover event yearly Regional Rover event yearly Finland and International project The weaknesses Rovers don’t do the program Forming rover groups Finding rover escort National rover event doesn’t happen yearly Regional differences are huge Rovers do not see “educational acpect” of their program Adults do not see “educational aspect” of rovers program

Symbolic framework Rovers symbolic framework is based on “rovering”, wandering through their young adult years In the beginning they make a road map, which leads them through their rover years There are different road stops (bigger events) along the way.
