Clinical Experience Hours

Teaching Expectations This is pre-student teaching; it is not student teaching. You are highly encouraged to get involved in the class where you will be teaching and get to know the students (i.e. their names, activities, interests). Offer your assistance, ask for grading assignments, ask to help in class during independent work. Look for additional opportunities (i.e. clubs, activities, tutoring center) This is a semester long experience, please treat it accordingly.

Teaching Expectations Be prepared to be at UHS for your lab time (TWR) for ten weeks. Dress professionally. Use this experience to begin/continue your transition from student to a professional educator. Be a partner with your cooperating teacher. Use this experience to grow and improve as a teacher. Growth requires being open to feedback and being self-reflective.

Teaching Expectations 5 Hours of Teacher Aide Work might include: Grading student work (given by CT, not you) Designing an activity for CT Set up/practice lab for CT Convert written test to Blackboard test Research a topic for CT These may vary by CT; ask your CT!
