Market day Markets in Indonesia are very colourful and crowded places. The vendors arrive early in the morning to set up their goods. Banana leaves are used on trays to display different foods. Women usually sell a range of fresh foods such as chillis, onions, fruit, rice, spices, dried fish, rice cakes, flowers or even freshly cooked foods. Men usually sell live chickens, ducks, goats, pigs or tools. Religions of Indonesia The majority (about 88%) of the population follows Islam. In fact Indonesia is the nation with largest Muslim population. However, freedom of religion is provided by the Indonesian Constitution, which is defined in the First Principle of the State Philosophy' "Pancasila", which upholds a "Belief in One Supreme God". Candi Borobudur Borobudur temple is one of the seven wonders of the world as it is the largest Buddhist temple and was built in around 800AD.
