17 Higher Education in Uzbekistan:  Introduction of two-level higher education: Bachelor`s and Master’s degree levels (first Bachelors have graduated in 1999/2000 academic year)  Reconsidering education areas and specialties to labour market needs; in the coming 5 years quotas for engineering fields for Bachelors programme will be increased from 23 to 36%  Development of doctoral programmes (third cycle – Doctor of sciences as from 1 st January 2012) Tempus
