The Iroquois tribe By Brittany, Kinley, Jorge, and Emiliano.

The tribe is located in the Northeast region of the United States mainly in Canada. Location

Clothes The tribe men wear feathers in their hair, a ring in their nose, jewelry, a cape, a sash around his waist, breechcloth leggings, and moccasins. The women wear skirts, jewelry, tops, and braids their hair.

Food The tribe mostly ate corn, beans, and squash. The food was considered special gifts from the holy creator.

Houses The tribe lived in villages. Those are lots of houses in a big group. Their houses were called log houses. They were made of bark from trees. They had door openings on both ends of the house and no doors or windows. During winter doors would be covered with skins so it would be warmer.

Some interesting facts Their flag represents the original five nations that were united in peace by the peacemaker. The pine tree symbol on there flag, represents a white pine tree. Today they wear modern clothes like most Indian people do today.

An interesting tradition Did you know, that they made rugs and jewelry which were made out of silver and turquoise? If you have any questions raise your hand and we would be happy to answer!
